Opiate dependency has reached pandemic proportions and doctors dispense pills at such alarming rates, they might as well use Pez dispensers. Here's one woman's inspirational story. A quick, easy read about the tragedy of addiction, eminently readable and at times riveting. I highly recommend it.

Fast and to the Point
This book makes for a great read - well written and to the point. The pace flies along as the writer's story is told. She is open and honest, while keeping the story short and concise. 5 stars.

We all can avail ourselves to a little outside perspective from time to time as parents. Strong Women, Mothers, Overcome Challenges to Protect Children
The book relates the terrible challenges faced by four mothers, whose children were variously kidnapped by the American legal system, by rebels in the Congo, by a father relocating to Iran. And a child lost to the ravages of AIDS. I almost dreaded each new chapter, knowing the situations would only get worse. But these were strong and determined women. The initially separate threads all weave together and the ending inspires hope.
